About this item
Very pretty pair of Edwardian grape scissors with cast sterling silver ribbon and reed pattern handles with bunches of grapes and vine leaf decoration. The blades are silver plated steel to ensure a nice clean cut.
Hallmarked for 1907, makers Levi & Salaman. Fitted in their original purple velvet and cream silk lined leather case.
They measure 16.5cm (6 1/2") long and 6.7cm (2 5/8") wide and weigh 57g.
Condition is very good: there is a small scratch mark on the underside of the blades. The blades close crisply. Light and appropriate surface wear overall and inside the blades and the marks are nice and clear. The case is in very nice condition inside with just some expected scuffing to the corners and base outside.
