About this item
A heavy, steel, sugar or ice cleaver in the shape of a fox. This is a really naive piece of French folk art. The form of the fox is quite primitive and the handle, which forms the tail, is carved from wood. It dates from c.1860. There is pitting to the steel, commensurate with age, but otherwise it is in good condition.
