About this item
A heavy, early19th century, steel herb or vegetable chopper. This is stamped “BONI” in the casting. It is possible that this is only a part of the mark as there are other marks which are now quite indistinct as they have worn over the years. The piece is quite simple in from and has a turned wooden handle.
There is slight pitting to the steel, and splitting to the handle, all consistent with use.
English. Date c.1820.
