About this item
A beautiful silver gilt Victorian agate vinaigrette by Samson Mordan of London 1865. Unusually the base with the Montrose agate is better than the top with the engraved design. The hinges are both tight and the top closes well. The interior has great gilding and a superbly fret cut grill. The base and top are both hallmarked, The vinaigrette is in great condition only one tiny ding on the lid, the agate is perfect. A stunning example of Samson Mordan's work.
