About this item
A lovely quality, Victorian breadknife with a carved, beechwood handle. The steel blade is stamped “WHEATSHEAF WHEATLEY BROTHERS SHEFFIELD” and it is also engraved “Bread Knife” in an ornate script. It dates from c.1860. The handle is very deeply carved with an attractive design. There is a split in the handle and there is slight wear to the blade from use.
Dimensions: Length 34cm. Width 3cm. Diameter of handle 3.2cm.
