This purse watch is pure Art Deco and was made in America by Ingersoll.
This watch has not been used and comes in its original packaging
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Made in USA” 5769676. The movement is in 90% mint condition
Case – the movement sits in a chrome frame with as snap on bezel and which has a smooth plain finish. This slots into a second case decorated with diagonal cream and black enamel triangles. The watch case can slot into this case and be covered and placed securely in a purse or can be pulled back and bent backwards and put on a bedside table or desk. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition
Dial – the metal dial has old luminous number and hands and black chapter ring. The dial is signed “Made in USA” and is in 95% mint condition – the watch has been unused and the luminous paint in the hand has made a mark on the dial through time
The watch when slotted into the outer case and in purse watch mode measures 50mm x 34.4 x 11.5
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch comes in its original two-piece cardboard box
