Rare Eterna-matic automatic fob pocket watch with watch guard c1955

This is a Swiss automatic wrist watch movement made by Eterna which has been made to be used as a pocket watch and is in its original case. The watch would and from a chain at the bow on the 6 position.

Movement – the 17 Jewel nickel movement has a lever escapement and a self winding rotor. The movement is signed “Eterna-matic, Brevete” # 3559379. It also has the model number which I cannot read. The movement is in 95% mint condition – light scratches only

Case – the movement comes in a two piece chrome case with a snap on bezel and back. The case has a smooth plain finish and a fixed bow at the 12. It has a glass back so the movement is visible. The case is in 95% mint condition – a superb example

Dial – the metal silvered dial has baton numbers and hands with a sweep centre seconds hand. The dial is signed “Eterna matic” and is in 99% mint condition

The watch has a synthetic glass over the dial and movement

The watch is stem wound / stem set

The watch measures 40mm wide x 12mm deep

The watch comes with an attractive rope twist leather guard with chrome fitting
