About this item
A stunning 19th Century giltwood overmantle mirror of fabulous quality. The mirror glass plate of shaped rectangular form set within a finely hand carved, moulded giltwood frame surmounted with fluted and curved architectural overhanging pediment with applied sphere detail. The sides beautifully decorated with rope columns with foliate and flowerhead capital and plinth motif detail, finely hand carved in high relief, supported on shaped platform base.
