This is an antique tilt top table. An English, mahogany occasional or wine table with birdcage mount, dating to the Georgian period and later, circa 1780.
Of pleasing form and quality finish
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select mahogany shows fine grain interest
Rich russet hues beam beneath a wax polish finish
Circular top of shallow profile with gently chamfered edge
Folding smoothly through 90-degrees for ease of storage
Supported upon a delightfully tapered, turned column
Standing upon a trio of squat cabriole legs with flat snake feet
This is a charming and attractive antique tilt top table, with superb Georgian craftsmanship and colour. Of ideal size for an occasional breakfast or wine table. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
