This is an American pocket watch made by the Waltham Watch Co circa 1935 and comes in its original box
The movement is a model 1924 Colonial B, grade 221
Movement – the nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “Waltham, USA, Riverside, 21 Jewels # 1271, Adj Temp, Main Wheel Jeweled” # 28856084 and is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case, which has a hinged back and a snap on bezel. The case has carved sides with a smooth plain finish on the back and edges. The case is in 95% mint condition – superb condition with light scratches only
Dial – the silvered dial has an outer matt chapter ring with raised gilt numbers and an inner polished circle with a curved aperture which partially reveals the disc below – this is the seconds. The dial has a pair of fancy gilt hands and is in 100% mint condition
The watch measures 44mm wide x 9mm
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch comes in a leather box with gold detailing on the lid. The inside is lined with silk and velvet
