This is the classic 16 size 21 Jewel 60 hour Illinois Bunn Special model rail road pocket watch
This is a Type III, model 14.
Movement – this is a superb high quality nickel ¾ plate movement which has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator, decorated with circular damascening, black enamel lettering, gold train wheels and raised gold jewel settings. The movement is signed “Sixty Hour, Bunn Special, Illinois Watch Springfield, 21 Jewels, Motor barrel, Adjusted Temp & Six positions, Motor Barrel # 4896607. The movement is in 95% mint condition – a superb example
Case – the movement comes in a superb 14K white gold filled case signed “Nawco King, 14 Karat Gold Filled, Railroad Model Patented”. The case has a screw on back and bezel with a snap on inner cover also. The case has a wide stem with engraved borders front and back. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – a superb example
Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk and has a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Illinois” and is in 99% mint condition
The watch has a synthetic glass
The watch measures 51mm wide x 15mm deep
The watch is stem wound / lever set
