About this item
This is a superb example of an American Railroad grade pocket watch. The watch is a particularly handsome example.
Movement – the high quality nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator. The movement is signed “E.Howard Watch Co, Railroad Chronometer, Boston, USA, Series 11, 21 Jewels, Railroad adjustment, temperature, 5 positions” # 1396233. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a Keystone extra gold filled open face case, which is signed “E. Howard Watch Co, Boston”. The case has a screw off back and bezel. The case has milled turning on the back and front edge with a smooth plain finish on the back. The case is in 95% mint condition – a good clean example
Dial – the white enamel has a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Howard” and is in 95% mint condition – a small crack on the edge of the dial at the 10, hidden by the bezel.
The watch has a synthetic glass
The watch is stem wound / lever set
The watch measures 51mm wide x 14mm deep
