This is a Swiss pocket watch made for the American market
Movement – the high grade nickel Bridge movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Gruen Watch Co, Veri Thin, Switzerland, 17 Jewels, Adjusted Temperature, Suisse”# 651160. The movement has gold train wheels, and a capped escape wheel. The movement is in 95% mint condition – small marks only
Case – the movement comes in a 14K gold filled open face case, which has a snap off back and bezel. The inside of the back cover is signed “Gruen Pentagon Veri Thin, 14K Gold Filled reinforced with extra gold”. The case has carved sides with matching carved detail on the bow. The rest of the case has a smooth finish and an enamel crest on the back for Frigidaire Quota club with “Awarded to Nelson J Stork, Representative 1932, Sales Leader 1934”. The case is in 95% mint condition – a superb example
Dial – the silvered dial has a brushed metal finish with carved borders and a pair of fancy gilt hands. The dial is signed “Gruen Veri Thin” and is in 99% mint condition – a very clean dial
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 44mm wide x 8mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
