This is an American Railroad watch Co by the Hampden Watch Co, USA
Movement – the nickel full plate movement has a lever escapement and a micrometer regulator. The movement has large raised gold jewel setting and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “HWCo, Canton Ohio, Special Railway, Double Roller, 23 Jewels, Adjusted” # 1189411 and is in 80% mint condition – many light scratches and marks
Case – the movement comes in a coin silver open face case by which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The case has coin edged sides, a vacant crest on the back, gold hinges and light traces of engine turning. The case is in 90% mint condition – light wear but still an excellent case
Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk. It has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Hampden Watch Co”. The dial also has an inner 24 hour chapter ring and red five minute marks. The dial is in 99% mint condition – tiny marks only
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
The watch measures 56mm wide x 20mm deep
The watch is stem wound / lever set.
