About this item
This is a superb example of a minute repeater. The watch was made in Switzerland and sent to England. It has clear assay marks for 18K gold and London import marks for 1933
Movement – the gilt 3 finger bridge movement has a lever escapement with a slide activated minute repeater function with two hammers chiming on the inner gongs. The movement is in 95% mint condition – light marks only
Case – the movement comes in a solid 18K gold hunter case, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover of the case pops open to 90 degrees when you press the. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – 3 small blemishes on the edge and light signs of wear but I am being very picky here, overall it is in excellent condition.
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch measures 51mm wide x 11mm deep
It comes with a vintage leather box lined with silk and velvet
