This watch is working but has not been cleaned or serviced.
Movement – the nickel full plate 15J movement has a lever escapement, with a micrometer regulator and is decorated with damascening. It is signed “15 Jewels, Elgin Nat’l Watch Co, Ill, USA,” #7278605. The movement is in 90% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a silver open face which has a screw on back and bezel. The case is stamped on the inside of the back cover “Elgin, Sterling, 925” and also 3, which denotes a 3 ounce case.
The case has a smooth plain finish and is decorated on the back with an engraved and gold inlay stag. The case is in 90% mint condition –light wear externally with some loss of definition on the stag.
Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk and has a full set of blue steel hands and signed “Elgin”. The dial is in 95% mint condition – a a tiny mark on the edge below the 3
The watch has a thick bevelled mineral glass which is scratched
The watch measures 55mm wide x 20mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set.
