18s 17 Jewel Hamilton 925 Hunter Pocket watch c1911

Most of the watches in my “Watches for restoration section” were purchased with a view to clean and service them and list them in my main section. However, when I inspect a watch if I find one or two faults then I list them here and this watch is one of those examples

The watch runs well but has not been cleaned or serviced

Movement – the nickel full plate movement has a lever escapement and a micrometer regulator. The movement is decorated with damascening, is signed “Hamilton Watch Co, Lancaster, Pa” # 672652 and is in 90% mint condition

Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case but the movement is a hunter hence the position of the winder at the 3. The case has a screw off back and bezel. The case is decorated with engraving and is in 90% mint condition

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands, is signed “Hamilton” and is in 99% mint condition – light dirt only

The watch has a bevelled mineral glass – there are some chips on the edges

The watch measures 54mm wide x 17mm deep

The watch is stem wound / lever set
