About this item
This is a Swiss pocket watch made for use on the British Railways and is marked BR (M) 1317 – British Rail Midlands
Movement – nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “17 Jewels, Swiss” and is in 100% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a base metal open face case, which has a snap on back, inner cover and bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is engraved on the back “BR (M) 1317”. The case is in 90% mint condition – light surface scratches only
Dial – the melamine dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Montine of Switzerland, 17 Jewels, Incabloc”. The dial is in 99% mint condition
The watch has a plastic glass – this does have light scratches and marks and can be changed on request
The watch measures 48mm wide x 10mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
