    This pocket watch has a good balance and chain but is fully wound and will require a clean and service. This watch is not sold with a warranty or our usual guarantee

    This movement was made circa 1820 but has been recased in a silver pair case with hallmarks for London 1874

    Movement – the gilt ¾ plate fusee movement has a steel cylinder escape wheel. The movement has a wide steel balance with a large diamond endstone and is signed “Barwise, London, No 8514”. The movement is in 95% mint condition

    Inner case – the English silver inner case has a hinged bezel and the watch is wound from the back, set from the front and swings out from the front also. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – the usual groove from the outer case plus a visible plugged winding hole on the back

    Outer case – this is the matching outer case. The case has a smooth plain finish, with original clasp and button and is in 95% mint condition – a very clean case

    Dial – the later dial has a pair of mismatched gilt hands and is in 99% mint condition

    The watch has a mineral glass

    The watch measures 51mm wide x 20mm deep
