English full hunter pocket watch by Thos Russell c1920

This is a good example of a movement made in the Thos Russell factory in Switzerland and sent to England to be cased and sold by Thos Russell & Son, Liverpool

Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Thos Russell & Son, Swiss Made, 10 Jewels” # 26171 and is also engraved with the Russell logo - Tempus Fugit, showing a wheel in the sky with wings. The movement is in 90% mint condition 

Case – the movement comes in a gold plated hunter case by Illinois made for this watch and signed “The Russell Model” It has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open crisply to just past 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case has a smooth plain finish. The case is in 95% mint condition – a good example

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Thos Russell & Son, Liverpool, Swiss Made” and is also decorated with the Tempus Fugit trade mark. The dial is in 100% mint condition

The watch has a plastic glass

The watch measures 51mm wide x 14mm deep

The watch is stem wound / stem set
