Rare silver & niello quarter repeater pocket watch by Moser c1900

This is a RUSSIAN pocket watch made by T Moser  & Co

This is a superb pocket watch in a silver and niello cased pocket watch with a push button quarter repeater function. 

Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and a push button activated quarter repeater function with two steel hammers striking the inner gongs. The movement is in 100% mint condition

Case – the movement comes in a silver hunter case, which has a hinged front, inner and back cover. The front cover pops crisply open to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case has silver marks on the inside of the back cover and is signed “T Moser & Cie, No 76533” on the inner.

The back cover, sides and bezel are decorated with niello enamel in a fine star board pattern and the case has a raised gold shield on the front cover to. The case is in 99% mint condition – a superb example

Dial – the white enamel dial has a pair of gilt hands and a blue steel sub seconds hand. The dial is signed “T Moser & Cie” and is in 100% mint condition

The watch measures 54mm wide x 15mm deep

The watch comes in a vintage leather, silk and velvet lined box

The watch comes with a silver and niello enamel watch chain, which measures 480m long x 8mm wide on the links. The chain has a silver niello bolt ring and a larger gold coloured bolt ring at one end and a large silver and niello dog clip at the other. The chain is made up of long twisted links with intricate gold wire knot work. The chain is in 90% mint condition – the niello has faded to grey on the chain but is still a lovely example
