    This English duplex pocket watch has a good balance and chain and will running intermittently; it has not been cleaned or serviced and is sold with no warranty and no guarantees

    The watch has clear hallmarks for London 1829

    Movement – the gilt full plate fusee movement has a duplex escapement with a brass ‘scape wheel. The movement has an ornately pierced watch cock with a large diamond endstone. The movement is signed “Jas McCabe, London” 3260 and is in 95% mint condition – a superb movement.

    The movement has its original gilt dust cap

    Case – the movement comes in an English silver open face case, which has a hinged back and bezel and the watch is wound from the back, set from the front and swings out from the front also. The inner cover is engraved "G. Underhill". The case has coin edged sides and gold hinges. The case is in 90% mint condition – some light wear but overall in superb condition

    Dial – the off white enamel dial has gilt hands and a gilt subsidiary seconds hand. The dial is in 100% mint condition

    The watch has a mineral glass

    The watch measures 51mm wide x 18mm deep
