This pocket watch has clear English silver hallmarks for Chester 1891
Movement – the gilt full plate going barrel movement has a lever escapement with a three arm gold balance. The movement is signed “John Johnston, Edinburgh” 34626 and is in 85% mint condition – cloudy stains. The movement has its original gilt dust cap.
Case – the movement comes in a silver open face case, which has a hinged back and bezel. The watch is wound from the back and set from the front and swings out from the front also. The case has coin edged sides and engine turning with a vacant crest and is in 90% mint condition – light wear
Dial – the white enamel dial has a pair of gilt hands and a blue steel sub seconds hand. The dial is in 99% mint condition
The watch has a synthetic glass
The watch measures 48mm wide x 17mm deep
The watch is key wound / key set and comes with a key
