The watch will run and keep good time however the clutch for the winding and setting is loose so the winder pops in and out and can just set the hands by itself. To wind you have to exert a downward force when winding and the hand setting is quite frankly poor.
It has not been cleaned or serviced and comes with NO warranty or guarantees
This is an American pocket watch made by the Waltham Watch Co and sent to England where it was cased and sold
The English silver case has hallmarks for 1919
Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement with a lever escapement and is signed “American Waltham, USA, Traveller” # 21789690. The movement is in 75% mint condition – many scratches and marks
Case – the movement comes in an English silver open face case by Dennison which has a hinged inner, back and a hinged bezel. The case has coin edged sides, engine turning is in 90% condition – a good clean case
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Waltham, USA”. The dial is in 90% mint condition – some light hairlines in the centre
The watch measures 50mm wide x 15mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
