Fancy gold plated 16s Waltham hunter pocket watch c1913

Most of the watches in my “Watches for restoration section” were purchased with a view to clean and service them and list them in my main section. However, when I inspect a watch if I find one or two faults then I list them here and this watch is one of those examples

The watch runs well but has not been cleaned or serviced

The watch has a mineral glass which is a little proud and has caused a minor sprain on the front cover resulting in some wear to the lip on the front cover which holds onto the metal catch.

Plus the case has general wear and tear

Movement – the gilt ¾ plate 7 jewel movement is signed “American Waltham, USA, Traveler” # 19210258 and is in 90% mint condition

Case – the movement comes in a gold plated hunter case, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover and the front cover pops open crisply to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case is decorated with engraving and beaded edges and is in 85% mint condition – general wear and tear and metal coming through on the plating

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of gilt hands and is signed “Waltham.” The dial is in 99% mint condition

The watch has a mineral glass

The watch measures 52mm wide x 14mm deep

The watch is stem wound / stem set
