16 size 23 Jewel Hamilton 950 railroad grade pocket watch c1935

This is classic American Railroad pocket watch made by the Hamilton Watch Co.

The watch is in particularly fine condition.

Movement – this high grade nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator and a gold capped escape wheel. The movement also has gold train wheels, raised gold jewel settings and is decorated with striped damascening. The movement is signed “Hamilton Watch Co, Lancaster, PA, 23 Jewels 950, Adj 5 positions” # 2505673. 

The movement is in 95% mint condition – superb condition

Case – the movement comes in a Model 2, Wandsworth, 10K Gold filled open face case, which has a screw off back and bezel. The case is signed “Hamilton” on the winder and has the patent stirrup bow. The case has carved sides with a smooth plain finish on the rest of the case. The case is in 95% mint condition – superb condition

Dial – the white enamel dial is a double sunk and has a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Hamilton” and is in 100% flawless condition, even the hands have their original blue steel bloom

The watch has a mineral glass

The watch measures 50mm wide x 13mm deep

The watch is stem wound / lever set.
