This is an English silver pocket watch with clear hallmarks for Chester 1889
Movement – the gilt full plate going movement has a lever escapement with a compensated balance wheel. The movement is signed “A. Richardson, Nelson” 11798 and is in 95% mint condition
The watch has its original dust cap.
Case – the movement comes in a silver open face case, which has a hinged back and bezel. The watch is wound from the back and is set from the front; the movement is accessed from the front also. The case has coin edged sides and a smooth plain finish on the back with a vacant crest. The case is in 85% mint condition – some dents on the back.
Dial – the off white enamel dial has a pair of gilt hands and a blue steel sub seconds hand. The dial is signed “A Richardson, Nelson” and is in 95% mint condition – light marks only
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
The watch measures 56mm wide x 18mm deep
The watch is key wound / key set and comes with a key
