This is a classic 18 size 17 Jewel pocket watch made by the Waltham Watch Co circa 1906
It is a grade 825 model 1883
Movement – the nickel full plate movement has a lever escapement and a micrometer regulator. The movement is decorated with damascening and highlighted with gold colour screws and regulator. It is signed “Waltham Watch Co, USA, 17 Jewels” # 15364816 and is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a large white metal silveroid case, which has a screw off bezel. You then pull the winder out to release the movement and it hinges out in a hinged circular frame. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 85% mint condition – some small dents and bruises around the sides and light scratches on the back
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is in 99% mint condition
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
The watch measures 58mm wide x 19mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
