Pristine 14K Gold International Watch Co IWC pocket watch 1936

This is a superb example of an International Watch Co pocket watch.

The case and dial are particularly fine examples coupled with a high quality movement.

Movement – the high grade nickel bridge, calibre 97 movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator, is jewelled to the centre and is decorated with striped damascening. The movement is signed “International Watch Co, Schaffhausen, IWC, Probus, Scafuisa, cal.97” #379030 and is in 90% mint condition - a few sratches

Case – the movement comes in a solid 14K gold open face case, which has a hinged gold back and bezel and a gilt metal inner. The case is signed “IWC, Probus, Scafusia”. The case is unusual in that it has a low profile on the bezel. It is decorated with with a geometric pattern with engine turning engraved in opposing directions creating a superb two tone effect as the light catches the watch from different angles. The case is in 95% mint condition – light marks only, overall a pristine case.

Dial – the gold coloured dial has a two tone chapter ring and sub seconds. The dial is signed “International Watch Co, Schaffhausen”. The dial has blue steel hands and is in 95% mint condition

The watch measures 49mm wide x 8mm deep
