    About this item

This watch is sold in our Watches for restoration section and does not come with a warranty. If you are looking for watch with a full warranty, please go to our Stock page or ask for assistance to find what you are looking for.

This pocket watch has a good balance and spring and will run but has not been cleaned or serviced by us.

The watch has clear hallmarks for Chester 1928

Movement – the top quality gold flashed bridge movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator, a steel capped escape wheel and gold jewel settings. The movement is decorated with fishscale damascening and is signed “Kendentick, 19 Jewels, Swiss Made”. The movement is in 95% mint condition

Case – the movement comes in a solid 9K gold half hunter case, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open crisply to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case has dark blue enamel numbers and the rest of the case has a smooth plain finish. The case is in 80% mint condition – a soft bruise on one side and a deep dent on the other. The back cover has many soft dents and this condition is reflected in the low price

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Kendal & Dent, London, Makers to the Admiralty, The Kendentick, Swiss Made”. The dial is in 99% mint condition

The watch has a plastic glass over the dial which is partially loose. The mineral glass in the front cover is completely loose and will require adhesive

The watch measures 50mm wide x 14mm deep

The watch is stem wound / stem set

The watch comes in a Kendal and Dent box with a hunter orientation for the watch. The box does show some wear on the silk and velvet but is still a nice addition
