Bucherer is a Swiss company founded in 1888 in Lucerne. The brand is known for its luxury watches.
This is a rare example of a pocket watch by this company. It is in superb condition and has a very unusual dial
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Bucherer, 17 Jewels, Swiss Made”. The movement is in 100% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a gold coloured metal open face case, which has a snap on back and bezel. The case is stamped Bucherer. The case has carved sides and a carved bow. The back of the case is decorated with engine turning and has a vacant crest. The case is in 100% mint condition
Dial – the silvered dial has raised gilt numbers and gilt hands. The dial is decorated with a harlequin pattern with alternating lozenges engraved or plain. When held to the light, the dial catches the light and creates a stunning three dimensional effect. The dial is signed “Bucherer” and is in 100% mint condition
The watch measures 49mm wide x 9mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch has a mineral glass
