Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement with a compensated balance.

The movement has a start, stop, fly back and reset chronograph function with a register. This movement has the exposed steel work for this function and is in a different layout to most other chronographs of the day

The movement is signed “By Appointment to the Queen, No 08552, Chas Frodsham (late of 84 Strand, 115 New Bond St”.

The movement is in 99% mint condition

The case has gold furniture, a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition

Dial – the white enamel dial has a stop start, fly back and reset chronograph function with a subsidiary seconds dial at the 9 and a 60 minute register at the 3. The watch has a full set of blue spade hands including a beautiful example for the chronograph function itself. The dial is signed “Chas Frodsham, 08552, AD.F.m.z” and is in 95% mint condition – a hairline in the centre of the dial between the two dials
