About this item
This a Swiss pocket watch made by Zenith which was sent to England where it was cased in a top quality English silver case by Dennison which has clear hallmarks for 1928
Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer balance and is jewelled to the centre with raised gold jewel settings. The movement is signed “Zenith, Prima, 17 Jewels, Adjusted, Swiss Made” # 2883738. The movement is in 99% mint condition – a superb example
Case – the movement comes in a top quality English silver open face case made by Dennison which has a screw off back and bezel. The heavy silver back cover is marked 2oz denoting the weight of the case. The case has coin edged sides, engine turning and is in 95% mint condition
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Zenith, Swiss Made”. The dial is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 50mm wide x 14mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
