This is an English silver pocket watch which has clear hallmarks for Chester 1905

The watch has a good balance and spring and will tick but gains around 5 minutes per 24 hours

Movement – the gilt full plate going barrel movement has a lever escapement and is numbered 52609. The movement is in 95% mint condition – very clean condition

The movement is protected by its original gilt dust cap

Case – the movement comes in an English silver case, which has a hinged back and bezel. The watch is wound from the back, is set from the front and swings out from the front also

The case has coin edged sides and a large vacant cartouche on the back. The case is in 85% mint condition – a good crisp case with just three small dings on the back.

Dial – the white enamel dial has a pair of gilt hands and a blue steel sub seconds hand. The dial is signed “Donn & Koeffler, Manchester”. The dial is in 95% mint condition – some very small hairlines on the side of the dial on the 5

The watch measures 56mm wide x 20mm deep

The watch is key wound / key set and comes with a key
