    This pocket watch has a good balance but the chain is fully wound and detached. This watch will require restoration and a clean and service. This watch is not sold with a warranty or our usual guarantee

    This is a really good example of a Georgian pocket watch and deserving of repair.

    Movement – a this is a lovely example of a gilt full plate verge movement with a finely pierced watch cock with profiles of two gentleman and many images of war, inc flaming torches, spears, flags etc. The movement also has a large diamond endstone. The movement is signed “Wm Nadauld, London” # 2430. The movement is in 95% mint condition – superb condition but the chain is off

    Case – the movement comes in a gilt metal open face case, which has a hinged bezel which just opens slightly when you press the button on the stem. The watch is wound, set and accessed from the front. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 85% mint condition – patches of metal coming through the gilding on the stem and on the back, however this is honest wear on what it a really lovely pocket watch

    Dial – the white enamel dial has a beautiful pair of gilt hands. The dial is in 95% mint condition – a small hairline on the 12.

    The watch measures 48mm wide x 20mm deep

    The watch is key wound / key set and comes with a key
