    About this item

This is a Swiss pocket watch made by the esteemed maker, Melly of Geneva. The watch is of a higher quality than usual with a fancy silver case and a lever movement completely covered with engraving. It is also worth noting that most watches of this period would have 4 or 8 jewels; this has 13.

Movement – the gilt bridge movement has an early style lever with a pronounced C end. The movement is completely covered with fine engraving, including the back plate and is in 95% mint condition

Case – the movement comes in a silver open face case, which has a silver gilt finish and has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The inner is signed “Echappement a Ancre, Levees, Visibles, 13 Jewels, Melly a Geneve, No 12519”

The case has coin edged sides, carved edges and is decorated with floral engraving. The case is in 95% mint condition

Dial – the white enamel dial has a pair of gilt hands and is in 99% mint condition

The watch measures 44mm wide x 10mm deep

The watch is key wound / key set and comes with a key and a vintage chain

The watch has a mineral glass
