Vintage English 23 Jewel Pocket Watch by Bravington c1925

This movement was made in Switzerland but made for the English market. The movement was sent to England where it was cased and sold. 

Movement – the top quality nickel 3 finger bridge movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator and is decorated with striped damascening. The movement is signed “The Renown, 23 Jewels, 5 Adjustments, Swiss Made”. The movement is in 95% mint condition

Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case by Dennison. It has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The case has engine turning and a vacant cartouche. The case is in 90% mint condition – some light wear but still an excellent example and perfect for every day use

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of gilt metal hands. It is signed “Bravingtons, Renown, Swiss Made” and is in 98% mint condition – two very light and faint hairlines in the sub seconds dial.

The watch has a bevelled mineral glass – this has a few small scratches

The watch measures 50mm wide x 13mm deep

The watch is stem wound / stem set 

The watch comes in its original box by Bravingtons. The brown velvet box is lined with silk and velvet and signed on the inside of the lid
