This is a Swiss watch used by the British government during World War 2.
The watch has a good spring but the balance is seized and will only tick very sluggishly. It is sold as not working and comes not come with a warranty
Movement – the nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement, is signed “15 Jewels, Swiss Made” and is in 85% mint condition – quite a few scratches and marks
Case – the movement comes in a white metal watch case by Dennison which has a screw on back and bezel, is engraved with a large government issue arrow on the back and C49794. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – some bruises on the back
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is in 95% mint condition – a chip down to the copper on the 3 and 9 but mostly hidden by the bezel
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
The watch measures 49mm wide x 14mm deep
