    About this item

If you are looking for an investment piece or just a large lump of gold, than this watch is for you.

This huge watch measures 61mm wide (an American 20 size) and weighs in total 200g with approximately £3500 worth of gold in the case.

The watch has clear hallmarks for London 1874

The watch is working but please note that a fusee watch is incredibly fragile and we cannot offer a full warranty on the fusee chain if this should break.

Movement – the gilt full plate fusee movement has a lever escapement with a compensated balance. The movement is signed “Joseph Player, London, 11250”. The movement is in 100% mint condition

The movement is protected by its original gilt dust cap

Case – the movement comes in a massive 18K gold open face case, which has a hinged back and bezel. The watch is wound from the back, set from the front and swings out from the front also. The case is decorated on the back with thistles and floral engraving. The case has coin edged sides. The case is in 95% mint condition – practically flawless except for some wear on the bow. This is understandable considering the weight of the watch and this poor bow must have felt the strain a few times

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Joseph Player, London”. The dial is in 98% mint condition – three tiny hairlines under the sub seconds dial

The watch has a synthetic glass

The watch is key wound / key set and comes with a fancy gold case, stone set pocket watch key

The watch measures 61mm wide x 20mm deep
