    About this item

This pocket watch has a good balance and chain but the movement will not tick

Movement – the gilt full plate fusee movement has a Duplex lever escapement with a brass ‘scape wheel and a wide steel balance with a large diamond endstone. The movement is decorated with engraved EC initials on the base of the watchcock. The movement is signed “Edwd Newman, Wisbech, 280”. The movement is in 95% mint condition – superb condition.

Dial – the off white enamel dial has no hands, and is in 85% mint condition – a chip down to the copper above the 12 and a hairline radiating down to the centre from that damage

    The movement measures 47mm x 13mm

The movement is key wound / key set
