About this item
A super quality, Wedgwood, three colour jasperware salad bowl and matching servers. The bowl is marked “WEDGWOOD” and this set dates from c.1890. The salad servers and the rim to the bowl are silver plated. They are marked ”MAPPIN & WEBB PRINCES’ PLATE”, and they are also marked “IMPORTE ANGLETERRE”, so the set would have been made for export to France but it has now found its’ way home. The combination of the green and lilac jasper is quite delightful. Both the bowl and the servers are finely decorated, in white relief, with a range of small, classical subjects beneath garlands of flowers which hang from rams’ heads and there are foliate reliefs on the lilac jasper borders. The reliefs are all very good quality. There is a chip to the underside of the bowl, which can be seen in one of the images, but other than that the bowl and servers are in very good condition.
Dimensions: Height of bowl 10.4cm. Diameter 23cm. Length of servers 30.3cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £50. Most of Western Europe add £25.
