This is a vintage pommel horse. An English, suede and pine gymnasium vaulting apparatus, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1930.
Delightfully solid horse as good to use today as it was 90 years ago
Displays a desirable aged patina with some light signs of use
Quality suede covers the reassuringly solid padded top
Tightly wrapped loop handles in very good order commensurate with age
Brass inset maker's mark for Spencer Heath and George of London
Standing upon four splayed, telescopic legs with adjustable height
Lever pin mechanism adjusts through a range of 37cm (14.5")
This is an appealing vintage pommel horse, with a wonderfully solid, lasting quality. Great fun for exercise or as an unusual decorative piece. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready to enjoy.
