This is an antique octagonal occasional table. An English, oak rotating two-tier book shelf in the Arts & Crafts taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.
Versatile and attractive addition to the lounge or reading nook. Displays a desirable aged patin and in good order. Select oak shows fine grain interest and an abundance of medullary rays. Deep caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish
Fine octagonal form, accentuated to the top with a fir cone and leaf border pattern. Display gallery with eight slender turned baluster rails. Rotating smoothly around the central column, over a broad baluster support. Standing upon a quartet of squat cabriole legs with pad feet.
This is a charming and appealing antique octagonal occasional table, with superb oak stocks and a versatile nature. Ideal for the living room or in your favourite reading corner. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
