A late 19th century (circa 1880) French mahogany partners desk in the Directoire style of fine patina - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
This highly decorative partners desk consists of a rectangular top with green gilt tooled leather writing surface with mahogany banding leading down to a brass moulded edge.
The top having a sliding surface to either side also of green gilt tooled leather providing additional working space.
This leads down to three drawers to the top, each pedestal also having three drawers, all drawers with brass mouldings, brass swan neck handles and fluted brass decoration, one drawer to each side with secret sliding compartment.
The sides with panelled ends leading down to a moulded edge below and all supported on bun feet.
A partners desk allows the desk to be sat at from both sides so the same arrangement of drawers are replicated to the other side.
This desk is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
