A fantastic 19th Century three compartmental giltwood overmantle mirror of large proportions. The central mirror glass plate of oval form set within a stunning hand carved giltwood frame with lozenge, beading, egg and dart detail, surmounted with crest comprising of centred stylised cabochon flanked with intricately carved scrolling foliate. The apron set on a platform base with beaded detail, supporting two further mirror glass plates, a beauti-fully centred flowerhead with acanthus leaves and scrolling foliate, flanked with stunningly carved scrolling foliate, c-scroll and urn motifs to the sides.
