About this item
A fine 19th Century giltwood overmantle mirror. The mirror glass plate set within a stunning hand carved giltwood, moulded and reeded frame of rectangular form with egg and dart border and foliate and detail to the shaped top corner returns. Surmounted with central pierced cartouche cresting with shells and finials flanked with beading, open lattice work detail and scrolling foliate detail. The shaped platform base with greek key, applied flowerhead paterae and scrolling foliate motif detail to the sides.
