A very rare finely hand carved 19th Century three compartmental giltwood overmantle mirror. The finely hand carved, moulded and fluted giltwood frame is surmounted with an overhanging broken pediment stepped cornice with beaded detail, above panelled frieze with stunning decorative motifs comprising of applied flowerhead paterae, diamond detail and scrolling foliate. Raised over three mirror glass plates of rectangular form, all framed with beautifully detailed pilaster cluster columns with acanthus leaf, trailing foliate and flowerhead detail finely carved in high relief, supported on shaped platform base.
