About this item
John Henry Inskip was a landscape painter who exhibited from 1886 at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists and other important galleries. He was an Honorary Member of the Old Cheltenham Fine Art Society and an occasional writer on art criticism. His work is held in many collections and Galleries including the Panett Gallery, Whitby (‘The Mill at Canterbury’) and Rochdale Art Gallery (‘Walmer’ and ‘Whitstable’). He lived and painted in Scarborough for many years.
"A North Yorkshire Farmstead" is an oil on board by Inskip measuring 12"x 16". It is framed in a gilt frame giving an overall size of 16" x 20" and is not signed.
