A Very Rare And Fine Pair Of 19th Century Bust Or Plant Stands

A very rare and fine pair of 19th Century kingwood and walnut bust or plant stands, of exceptional quality and fabulously hand carved with quarter veneered detail and beautifully rich patination and grain throughout.  The well figured, moulded top of square form is framed with a stylised greek key carved border flanked acanthus leaf motif detail to the corners.  Raised over simple concave frieze above a pedestal support, framed with four striking, parcel gilt Neoclassical Corinthinan pillars to each of the four corners, beautifully embellished with gorgeous flowerheads, garlands of foliate, scroll, egg and dart motif detail, all finely carved in high relief, terminating on plinth base.
