    About this item

This is a nice medieval silver-gilt pendant, dating to the 14th - 15th century. It depicts a 'falcon displayed', sadly missing its feet. Suspension rings are on each wing, enabling the pendant to hang from a fine chain. Such pendants were worn as badges, showing support or affinity to a noble house or duke. Especially important during the Wars of the Roses.
